Laurin was born and raised in Massachusetts and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She went on to obtain her DVM from Kansas State University in 2011. Dr. Funk has been working in emergency medicine since that time.
Laurin enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She has 3 cats: Doug, Teddy, and Bailey and a Pit Bull named Patty.
