A CT (computed tomography) scan is an advanced imaging tool that uses X-rays to create detailed, cross-sectional images of your pet’s body. It allows veterinarians to see structures much more clearly than standard X-rays.

  • Advanced, 3D imaging
  • More detailed than traditional X-rays
  • Helps detect issues not visible on standard imaging

A CT scan may be recommended when more detailed imaging is needed to diagnose complex conditions or guide treatment planning.

  • Tumor detection and evaluation
  • Nasal or sinus disease
  • Neurologic concerns
  • Orthopedic injuries
  • Internal bleeding or trauma

CT scans are considered very safe. Because pets need to remain completely still, light anesthesia or sedation is typically required to ensure accurate images.

  • Performed under sedation or anesthesia
  • Closely monitored by trained staff
  • Non-invasive and painless

Images are reviewed by your veterinary team, and in some cases, a specialist. You will be updated as soon as results are available, along with recommended next steps.

  • Images reviewed by veterinarians
  • May include specialist consultation
  • Treatment plan discussed with you
