Kennel Technicians Wanted
PETS Hospital is currently seeking kennel technicians for our Veterinary ER in Orcutt (Santa Maria area).
This position requires some animal handling experience (preferably in a veterinary medical setting) or enrollment in a veterinary technician program - but we are willing to train! The ideal candidate should have excellent people skills, be calm under pressure, and work well in a group setting.
Specific duties will include assisting with patient care, maintaining sanitation protocols, laundry, re-stocking medical supplies, and feeding and walking patients.
Emergency medicine is a rigorous and extremely rewarding field. Shifts could include day, swing, and overnight, including weekends and holidays. The starting salary range is $17.50 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience. Swing and night pay differentials are also included. Compensation is based on experience and skill set, however we offer on the job training with opportunities for advancement. Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package.
Our facility is drug free and smoke free. A criminal background check for all employees of veterinary clinics is required for employment by California Law.
